Sweet and delicious! - Introducing the SmulTron III Envelope Filter
At Dirty Boys Audio, we decided we were officially done with boring, bland and thin-sounding filters. Enter Smultron—the envelope filter designed to keep your tone thick, juicy, and funky! We built Smultron with a custom "best of both worlds" hybrid circuit. It gives you the aggressive, feel of a vintage stompbox, but glues it to a massive, warm analog bottom-end. We even added a built-in sub-tamer, which means you can crank the resonance all the way up for wild, laser-like synth sounds without creating a muddy rumble that blows out the PA system.Plus, with a lightning-fast trigger, it grabs every single slap, pop, and pick instantly. Dialing in the Groove
* Sensitivity: Your touch-sensitivity. Turn it down for a subtle, dynamic wah that reacts to your fingers, or crank it up to to open the filter wide open with the slightest touch.
* Peak: The "Quack" knob. Keep it low for a smooth, buttery swell, or push it up for an aggressive, biting squelch.
* Decay: How fast the bubble bursts. Dial it to 0 for rapid-fire, staccato funk pops, or turn it up for long, lazy filter sweeps.
* Tone: Sets the ceiling for the envelope. Roll it back for a dark, muffled dub growl, or open it wide for brilliant, snappy highs.
* Blend: Seamlessly mix your clean dry signal with the wet filter so you never lose your foundation in the mix.
* Sweep: The direction of the sweep. Up: The classic funk "bow-wow." Starts deep and snaps upward. Down: The heavy synth "peeeew." Starts high and plunges down into the sub-basement.
